WWII Burma veteran: 'As I get older the hatred vanishes a bit'
World War Two ended on 15 August 1945 following the surrender of Japan.
The 70th anniversary will be marked with a commemorative service in Edinburgh which will be attended by some of the surviving Scottish veterans of the Far East campaign.
George Fraser, who served with the 154 Field Ambulance in Burma, said: "As I get older the hatred vanishes a bit."
